Waterbed Sheets and Quilts Made of Cotton, Flannel and Silk
Waterbed sheets could last a lifetime if given proper care. It can make the difference between a good, deep sleep or a nightmare. So, it is important that the purchaser would select the best there is that is suited to his needs before going ahead and buying something he would only store in the closet.
Waterbed sheets are different from conventional beds. Because of their unique sizes, it could be very hard to find sheets for them. However, the sheets are now offered in leading stores and the Internet, and one would just need to know where to look to find quality bed sheets. The difference between a waterbed sheet from a conventional bed sheet is that it is made with two flat sheets put together around the center of the lower end or the foot area. The bottom sheet has four triangular pockets to be placed at the four corners of the waterbed. The pockets are to secure the linen so that it would be fixed and would only be removed if it is time to change the sheets.
Different Materials for a Bed Sheet
There are several types of bed sheets. One of the leading would be the cotton bed sheets for a waterbed. There is such a thing as thread count. Usually, cotton sheets sell with 80 to a thousand thread count, and the higher the thread count, the most expensive the fabric is. Make sure that when purchasing a cotton sheet, keep in mind the thread count as usually the companies making the sheets would only include about forty percent of cotton and the rest would be inferior materials. Remember, if a sheet is made up of complete cotton, then the softer it would feel. Softness is a key for a good night’s sleep.
Other materials for a bed sheet would be the flannel, which is a soft and warm fabric. Smooth satin is also available for waterbeds. A satin sheet made of silk could be very expensive, but its quality compensates for the price.
Quilts and Other Comforts
Others hail waterbeds for the warmth they provide, but just in case your heater doesn’t cut it, then you couldn’t go wrong with a quilt. A quilt is designed to keep the user snug and comfortable. Who knows? Maybe sleeping with a quilt is the only thing you are lacking so you can’t have that good night’s sleep.
