There are many individuals who know this and want to take steps to rectify the problem, or at least alleviate it But purchasing engine-generators, standby generators, commercial generators, and industrial generators is expensive. Depending on the kind of generator, they could spend anywhere from thousands to millions of dollars for a single unit.
One could try to finance their purchase with a loan. But if the purchaser can’t get one or needs the generator as soon as possible, then he or she might consider buying a used one. A quick search online will reveal individuals and companies selling used generators, gasoline generators, diesel generators, portable generators, marine generators, and LPG generators suitable for many purposes including theirs. These can be the means by which they assure the safe operation of their enterprise during power stoppages or the security of their loved ones during the chaos a blackout might cause. As with any investment though, they must make sure that their purchase is a sensible one, compliant with any local laws on the environment and noise, and economic to use and maintain.
