The Acclaimed Zatoichi Sword

Generally speaking, the Zatoichi sword simply refers to a legendary sword that was owned by an iconic Japanese hero by the name of Zatoichi. Zatoichi was a blind nomad way back in the 19th century who made his living doubling up as a masseur and as a crafty gambler. However, this was just a humble facade that he used so as to conceal his master swordsmanship. He was actually gifted with a draw that was lightning fast and a precision that was even more breathtakingly correct.
In his travels, Zatoichi comes up to a remote village in the mountain that is run under the terrorist mercy of Ginzo, a leader of a ruthless gang. Ginzo is Machiavellian and disposes of those who get into his way. He undertakes to hire Hattori, an unbeatable samurai ronin to be his bodyguard.
After gambling away the night in town, Zatoichi encounters two geishas who are just as beautiful as they are dangerous. These geishas seek to avenge the murder of their parents. Others join up with Zatoichi in fights against Ginzo and his henchmen. Using the legendary Zatoichi cane sword, Zatoichi literally cuts his way to Ginzo and eventually eliminates him.
Actually, this is the basic theme of the story. Zatoichi is a talented warrior who uses the famed Zatoichi sword to bring vengeance on the terrible and to deliver the captives from their bondage under dictatorial town and village regimes. However, all the stories start with Zatoichi disguising his fighting talents under the facade of a blind masseur- cum- gambler.
To conclude, the Zatoichi sword is one of the famed Japanese legends. It has been so popularly acclaimed that a number of movies have been released with mentions of Zatoichi or the Zatoichi sword. Added to this, an even greater number of blue ray movies have hit the market based solely on the legend of the Zatoichi sword.
