Plant Organic Herb Seeds for Cooking and Tea Making

BerriesSo many people nowadays love to garden. Some love planting small trees like fruit trees then later on reap the harvest of their labor, while others love being in a garden full of flowers and sweet-smelling plants for them to enjoy. But then, for even some people, they would like to be more practical with their gardens. There are some who plant herb seeds in their garden. Why would anyone want a garden full of herbs?

Advantages of Planting Herb Seeds

Contrary to what people think, planting herb seeds possess a number of advantages. One of these is that you will be able to use the herbs that you plant once they have grown. And growing herb seeds does not take up much of your time unlike fruit trees and flower trees which take a number of years before they can bear anything. But with herb seeds, just after a few months (for some, even just a few weeks), your herb seeds would have grown to be shrubs or plants and can now be used to spice up your meals.

This brings us to our second point. Because your herb seeds are grown right at your back yard, the herbs that you will be using will be fresh and cheap! You’ll be growing them on your own so you know how clean and free from pesticide your herbs will be. Plus, you don’t have to pay for anything when you pick an herb from your backyard, which you can do years after you’ve planted your herb seeds.

What Types of Herb Seeds should I Plant?

You can choose a variety of herb seeds to plant, depending on your preference of herbs and spices. If you like cooking meals and dishes, then I suggest you plant rosemary or oregano seeds. If you like drinking green tea, then go for herb seeds like mint or even cinnamon. These types of herbs and spices will go perfectly with your iced tea on a hot, sunny day.

Whatever herb seeds you decide to plant, rest assured that your effort and your money will not go to waste. Even after you have planted it, the herbs and spices of your labor will not be in vain. You can use the herbs that you pick even after several months from the time you planted your herb seeds. Whichever ones you choose, be happy knowing that you’ll be having a lot of fun with your herb seeds.
