How to Buy, Plant or Eat Sunflower Seeds
People have different tastes when it comes to choosing the flowers and plants that they want to grow. They say it exemplifies the personality, and what better way to show your personality with a beautiful-looking sunflower.
There are two sides of the famous sunflower seeds. One is that it can be planted and grown to become beautiful sunflowers with its yellow petals and numerous seeds. Another side is that it can be eaten as a candy or even as a seed itself. As a gardener, you may have decided to choose the latter part – planting the sunflower seeds. So how does one come around with sunflower seeds?
From your local plant store or even the nearby park
If you want to be sure and have it the convenient way, then go to your grocery store or supermarket to buy your sunflower seeds. If not there, there will definitely be sunflower seeds in your plant store. Or if you’re on a budget but still want to plant one, then go to your nearest park and find a sunflower. The seeds itself in the center are capable of being planted and grown as sunflowers. There are some sunflowers that grow and bloom. As their season ends, they leave their seeds on the soil, and when their season comes once again, the sunflowers blossom and grow automatically.
Once you decide to plant sunflower seeds, be committed in taking care of them
Personally, sunflowers are my favorite types of flowers. That’s why one of my friends gave me a pot of just one sunflower. I was thrilled, of course, but after a few days, it had died. It might have been the weather or just my neglect of taking care of them. Sunflowers require much water, and as their name states, they must be under the sun at all times or as much as possible. This is the reason why most sunflowers that you see are located where there is no or little shade upon them. Fertilizers are not that needed when it comes to sunflowers, but water and lots of sunshine make sunflowers bloom and become more beautiful.
Sunflowers are very beautiful and lively flowers, with its big flower and colorful petals. But they also require tender loving care which you should give once you have decided to plant sunflower seeds. By the end of the season, you will see that all of your efforts are worth it once you see the sunflowers that will definitely brighten and liven up your day.
