The most common difference of a koi pond and the usual water garden is that, in koi ponds, the water is cleaner and more maintained since there are living creatures in it, particularly the koi fish or any other fish for that matter. If you have a large place to put your garden pond, then having a koi pond would be a good choice. Not only will you have the feel of water and nature, you will also get to enjoy watching the beautiful koi fish as they swim around your pond. But just like having any other kind of pet, you must be aware to take care of your koi fishes by cleaning the water and maintaining them.
The Water Garden
On the other hand, water gardens can be as simple as having a pond in your garden or having your very own mini waterfall right in your home. The beauty in having a water garden is that it is low maintenance, in the sense that you don’t have to have clean the water for it because you don’t have any living creatures swimming in it. This is especially perfect for those who are on a tight schedule or for those who are busy yet still want to have a feel of nature in their homes. All you have to do is design your garden pond and voila! You can now enjoy your very own garden pond.
Anyone can have their own garden pond. It’s just a matter of choosing the right one. Rest assured, whichever one you do pick, whether it’s the exquisite koi pond or the more simple water garden, garden ponds are the answer to make your garden more pleasant and beautiful to look at.
