Car and Auto Window Stickers and Decals
Cars and all sorts of vehicles are designed and built in different models. Part of this building process is the issuance of car window stickers that are deemed by the industry as an important requirement. The sticker carries information regarding its construction, the year and model, as well as the suggested price, not to mention the building standard and other optional equipments. Along with these details is the identification number that vehicle model carries. All of them are printed on the sticker to serve as the vehicle identification profile, allowing the buyers to determine exactly which suits their needs.
Given such basics, it’s definitely no surprise to find many car buyers considering the information presented by the car window sticker as a very valuable tool in finding the right automobile. The main reason behind this is that when the sticker is provided, the buyer will exactly know what and what’s not included in a particular model of vehicle. It gives you a guarantee that you’re getting the model you deserve depending on what you have paid for.
There is more to the car window sticker that triggers buyers of cars to look and demand for it. Several claims have it that the stickers are made also to provide a valuable record of the vehicle’s history. With this, it would make a lot of sense if the stickers will be kept for reference purposes. The historical record can be used for future replacements and repairs, after all. And, if you are thinking of selling it for an urgent cause, the window sticker can help you determine what car accessories are originally included in the purchase, which the new buyer may demand to get.
Today, different forms of car window sticker are made available for every car buyer to consider. One of the most well-known is the Monroney sticker, which is but named after a known senator of Oklahoma, Almer Stillwell “Mike” Monroney, who handled and sponsored one of the most valuable Acts in the automobile industry – the federal Automobile Information Disclosure Act of 1958. It is worth noting though that under this Act, car manufacturers are required to attach the car window sticker either to the vehicle’s windshield or the side window. Failure to attach or display one on either parts of the vehicle can lead to the payment of $10,000 fine per vehicle. The fine will be paid to the dealership, as the law mandates.
